Hi guys. I know very little about actually working on cars, but in an effort to learn something new, have a new hobby and learn about my Z, I'd like to start doing my own work on it. I know you likely have to start somewhere before moving on to more complex tasks, but what would be a suggested starting point? I don't even know how to jack up a car... I likely have access to many tools that would be needed due to having family members that own them, but I don't think I even have a decent pair of jack stands for instance. I found some in my garage that look pretty old, but not sure I want to use them. I downloaded the FSM from NICOClub, but could anyone suggest a route that they think would be ideal to start learning? Maybe a general book, or just get started and try to get my hands dirty? Thanks!
